Baia di Piona, Colico

Framed by the surrounding mountains, on sunny days the bay looks like a brightly coloured painting, with the intense blue of the lake and the bright green of the turf that serves as its beach. Bordered by a tree-lined avenue and a small harbour, it offers a spacious and well-served area where one can spend pleasant, relaxing moments. There is a kiosk and a car park. From the shore, the panorama opens onto the promontory that hosts the Cistercian Abbey of Piona.
For the special closing concert, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Festival, MACH Orchestra will perform from the Lake Arena – a floating platform made available by the Colico municipal administration – which will make the moment even more evocative.
