2022 EDITION

“Essence”

| In memory of Bernard Haitink, who honored our festival with his deep friendship and musical sharing |

The Festival’s eighteenth edition wants to be a space where to meet and listen to the poetic message of sensitive men and wise composers who, through their music, allow us to experience the essence and the spirit of the times and places where they lived and created.

In a journey from the Middle Ages to the present day we will revisit famous pages of Biber, Purcell, Bach, Boccherini, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Grieg, Arensky, Mahler, Ravel, Shostakovich.

Meetings and insights, solo, chamber and symphonic concerts with MACH’s two orchestra’s residence, enable a rich training program for different generations of young people from various parts of the world.

Musicians among the most refined on the international scene, open to experimentation and comparison, meet the public in the historical places and in the green and water frame of Nature surrounding Lake Como, to experience and live together a way of making music which always feels alive and regenerated.
